Get to know Urologist Dr. Sagar M. Phatak, who serves patients in Middlebury, Connecticut. 

Being a board-certified urologist, Dr. Phatak’s interests include urologic oncology, urologic stone disease, pediatric urology, and male infertility. He is in practice with Urology Specialists, P.C., an affiliate of Connecticut Clinical Research Center and Connecticut Center for Continence, which he joined in 2007. A 2001 graduate of the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine, Dr. Phatak went on to complete his residency in both general surgery and urology at Yale-New Haven Hospital. He then completed a six-month research fellowship with the National Cancer Institute – University of Pennsylvania Urologic Oncology Branch, studying new imaging techniques in prostate cancer detection. Much of this work was presented at the 2004 National American Urology Association meeting in San Francisco.

Sagar M. Phatak, MD, DABU, attended the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, and received his medical degree in 2001. Furthermore, he conducted his general surgery and urology residency at Yale-New Haven Hospital in New Haven, CT. In addition, he completed a six-month research fellowship as a Howard Hughes Medical Student Scholar at the National Cancer Institute – University of Pennsylvania Urologic Oncology Branch. During his time there, he studied new imaging techniques in prostate cancer detection and much of this work was presented at the 2004 National American Urology Association meeting in San Francisco.
